Software Engineer, ML Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Design and develop training pipelines, data workflows, and systems for model integration.

• Create infrastructure that speeds up research iterations and minimizes turnaround times.

• Construct systems for large-scale data collection, curation, and preprocessing.

• Develop tools and automation to transition experiments towards production readiness.

• Enhance data pipelines for improved reliability, performance, and observability.

• Collaborate with ML researchers to identify their needs and eliminate technical obstacles.

• Focus on model serving infrastructure and its integration with the production framework.

• Write clean, thoroughly tested code that upholds high engineering standards.

• Engage in code reviews to help elevate the engineering quality across the team.

• Contribute to shared tools, infrastructure, and cross-functional projects (20% Time).

• Work within a dual-leadership model (Engineering Manager and Tech Lead) to grasp priorities and technical direction.

• Document systems and decisions to facilitate team knowledge sharing.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience in creating production ML systems, training infrastructure, or research platforms.

• Proficient in Python, with additional experience in at least one other systems language (C++, C#, Java, Rust, or Go).

• Practical experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow in either production or research settings.

• Background in building or maintaining ML training pipelines or data workflows.

• Understanding of model deployment, inference optimization, or MLOps practices.
