Senior ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• You will design and manage the data pipelines that drive our AI systems — encompassing streaming, near-real-time, and batch processing.

• You will handle high-volume structured and unstructured data on platforms such as Spark and Databricks, constructing the infrastructure that links raw data to production models across personalization, fraud detection, and GenAI applications.

• Develop and sustain ML inference and feature engineering pipelines using Databricks.

• Create feature pipelines — including transformations, aggregations, and time-based features at scale with PySpark.

• Deploy and oversee models in production environments — focusing on versioning, registry, and serving (MLflow).

• Construct batch inference jobs that produce predictions at scale.

• Integrate ML outputs with streaming infrastructure (Kafka) for downstream processing.

• Enhance SQL queries across various engines (Databricks SQL, PostgreSQL).

• Monitor data quality, pipeline reliability, and the health of model serving.

• Collaborate with ML scientists to bring their research into production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in Python development within a data or ML engineering environment.

• Strong proficiency in PySpark — including writing, debugging, and optimizing Spark jobs in a production context.

• Practical experience with Databricks or a similar managed Spark platform (e.g., EMR, Dataproc).

• Production experience with Kafka or a comparable streaming platform.

• Strong SQL skills across various database engines.

• Familiarity with ML model deployment and serving tools (like MLflow, SageMaker, or similar).

• Basic knowledge of Kubernetes.

• Understanding of feature engineering patterns and the design of data pipelines.

• Strong analytical skills and data intuition.

• Nice to have:

• Experience with recommendation systems or personalization platforms.

• Experience in pipeline orchestration (e.g., Databricks Asset Bundles, Airflow, or similar).

• Familiarity with columnar processing libraries (such as Polars, pandas).

• Experience with ML observability, including model performance monitoring, data drift detection, and pipeline alerting.

• Background in the iGaming industry.
