Software Engineer – MERN Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain scalable web UI components and Node.js services for marketplace and portal functionalities across Uvation platforms.

• Create React UI and reusable component libraries.

• Implement Node.js/Express APIs as necessary.

• Integrate with Django APIs and external services.

• Ensure adherence to responsive and accessible UI standards (WCAG compliance).

• Manage application state, routing, and optimize frontend performance.

• Write unit and UI tests, and support CI/CD processes.

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to provide scalable solutions.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance application performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

• Over 3 years of experience in MERN stack development.

• Strong expertise in React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.

• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript and contemporary frontend development practices.

• Solid comprehension of RESTful APIs and integrations with third-party APIs.

• Familiarity with state management libraries like Redux, Zustand, or React Query.

• Knowledge of responsive UI development and cross-browser compatibility.

• Understanding of authentication, authorization, and web security best practices.

• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.

• Exposure to Docker, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and deployment processes is advantageous.
