Software Engineer – Integrations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and support integration connectors for both modern and legacy EHR systems.

• Design resilient message queuing and delivery systems for both inbound and outbound HL7 and API traffic.

• Create and manage REST API integrations with external referral sources.

• Take ownership of the observability layer for the integration infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated capability to integrate with legacy systems that were not designed with modern interoperability in mind.

• Experience with integration middleware or engine patterns.

• Proficient in at least one backend language utilized in high-reliability integration scenarios (Python, Ruby, Java, C# are all applicable).

• Understanding of RESTful API integration patterns, including schema versioning, backward compatibility, and API contract management.

• Strong operational instincts.

• A tendency towards innovation.

• Extensive expertise in HL7 v2 message processing is desirable.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous, but not mandatory.
