This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Designing and maintaining DataDome's JavaScript Tag, a client-side integration implemented across numerous customer websites, prioritizing performance, resilience, security, and privacy. You'll focus on Core Web Vitals and the tag's impact on customer pages, which will be your main responsibility.
• Creating and enhancing server-side integration modules for JavaScript-oriented edge platforms and runtimes, including AWS Lambda@Edge, Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Compute, Node.js, among others.
• Taking charge of backend integration modules in other programming languages (Python, Go, Java, Ruby), assisting customers in integrating DataDome into their server-side systems.
• Leading the technical direction and best practices for integration components while mentoring fellow engineers on the team.
• Elevating code quality and release standards by enhancing CI/CD pipelines, testing, performance, and security across all integration components.
• Offering technical support to our Support and Solutions Engineering teams (Tier 2/3) to facilitate customer onboarding and tackle complex integration challenges.
• Keeping abreast of technological advancements in web technologies, edge computing, and server-side runtimes, and suggesting improvements for our integrations as needed.
• Overseeing incidents and conducting post-incident reviews pertaining to integration components.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, with a solid understanding of modern web standards and server-side JavaScript runtimes.
• Strong working knowledge of at least one additional backend programming language (Python, Go, Java, Ruby).
• Good grasp of web protocols and standards (HTTP, TCP, cookies, DNS, TLS).
• Ability to evaluate trade-offs among various integration methods and propose scalable solutions.
• Experience in mentoring fellow engineers or influencing technical decisions within a team.
• Commitment to performance, code quality, and automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools.
• Comfortable navigating across different codebases, languages, and platforms rather than focusing on a single stack.
• Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies frequently.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
• A collaborative team player who enjoys working with others and fostering a supportive team environment.
• Flex Life: This role is available for fully remote candidates located anywhere in France. Alternatively, you can work from our Paris office near the Opera Garnier or adopt a hybrid model. A €500 stipend will be provided to help you create your ideal workspace if you choose to work remotely or hybrid.
