This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain comprehensive full-stack web applications and backend services.

• Take full ownership of features from initial discovery and scoping through implementation, deployment, and post-launch evaluation.

• Collaborate closely with product and business stakeholders to define hypotheses, assess trade-offs, and agree on success metrics.

• Design, implement, and assess A/B tests and experimentation initiatives utilizing tools like PostHog or similar platforms.

• Create and maintain full-stack TypeScript applications with frameworks such as Astro and Vue.

• Contribute to backend services in PHP (Laravel) as needed.

• Write and optimize SQL queries, working directly with relational databases both within and outside of ORMs.

• Engage with cloud and edge infrastructure, including Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1, and AWS EKS.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and participate in structured Git workflows, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Debug and troubleshoot issues across the entire stack with minimal supervision.

• Enhance observability, reliability, and performance using monitoring tools such as Datadog.

• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to long-term technical strategy.

• Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior engineers.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and improve code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.

• Demonstrated experience operating at a mid-senior or senior individual contributor level with complete ownership of complex features.

• Strong proficiency in PHP or TypeScript at a production level.

• Experience in building, launching, and maintaining scalable web applications utilized by real customers.

• Extensive experience working within structured backend frameworks such as Laravel.

• Solid understanding of modern JavaScript and TypeScript architecture and best practices.

• Capable of writing efficient SQL and optimizing relational database performance without overly relying on an ORM.

• Hands-on experience deploying and managing systems within AWS or Cloudflare environments.

• Comfortable working with containerized applications and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

• Experienced in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.

• Proficient in using Git in collaborative settings, including branching strategies and organized code reviews.

• Deliver features end-to-end, define measurable success criteria, and assess post-launch outcomes.

• Communicate effectively with product and business stakeholders throughout the entire feature lifecycle.

• Able to operate independently within distributed teams and consistently deliver results in fast-paced environments.

• Must have a working laptop/PC and a reliable internet connection, along with a backup connection.
