This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.
• Analyzes, designs, and implements intricate systems.

• Guides junior engineers through pairing, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Develops software solutions in accordance with our quality standards regarding the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Actively pursues knowledge of the latest technologies.
• Leads the technical architecture of complex systems.
• Understands and enhances system performance.
• Takes proactive measures to resolve issues before they escalate.
• Delivers sophisticated systems that are well-crafted and nearly free of bugs.
• Identifies potential problems with requirements and the project plan in a proactive manner.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
• Over 5 years of relevant experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of functional programming principles (Scala).
• In-depth knowledge of distributed architectures (familiarity with Kafka is a plus).
• Strongly preferred: prior experience with Akka/Pekko.
• Preferred knowledge of Event sourcing/CQRS methodologies.
• Good understanding of NoSQL databases (DynamoDB preferred).
• Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (AWS and/or Azure).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Familiarity with Software Design and Code Reviews.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Proactive attitude.
• Strong business and functional understanding.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Capability to tackle complex networking, data, and software challenges.
• Proficient in both Italian and English languages.
