Software Engineer III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software applications.

• Maintain documentation for program modifications.

• Create intricate components of primary CSI applications, focusing on scalable backend services, APIs, and data management.

• Assume responsibility for the development and implementation of comprehensive backend systems, services, or large-scale projects.

• Uphold departmental coding standards and best practices, with a strong emphasis on TypeScript, code quality, and backend architecture patterns.

• Oversee the execution of backend-centered initiatives.

• Draft technical specifications for backend systems.

• Recognize project and programming risks, particularly concerning performance and scalability issues.

• Advocate for Agile and CI/CD methodologies and technologies.

• Mentor colleagues and junior Software Engineers in Node.js, TypeScript, and backend engineering methodologies.

• Investigate intricate technical challenges, recommend solutions, and provide strategic direction in backend system design and optimization.

• Leverage expertise in backend development and emerging technologies within the Node.js ecosystem.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree from an accredited university, college, or trade school in a relevant technology field.

• Over 7 years of experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

• Proficient in backend architecture patterns, asynchronous programming, scalable service design, and best practices for code quality.

• Experience in designing, developing, testing, debugging, maintaining, and documenting software applications and changes.

• Strong knowledge of API design, data modeling, performance enhancement, and scalability issues.

• Capability to take ownership of backend systems, services, or large-scale projects from development to deployment.

• Ability to enforce coding standards and software engineering best practices, especially regarding TypeScript and backend architecture.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, CI/CD practices, and contemporary software delivery processes.

• Proficient in resolving complex technical issues and providing strategic insights in backend system design and optimization.

• Demonstrated creativity, originality, technical acumen, and sound judgment.

• Skill in coaching and mentoring junior Software Engineers.
