Software Engineer II – Full Stack

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop scalable back-end services for the next generation of applications at Smartsheet using Kotlin and Java.

• Tackle complex distributed systems challenges while collaborating with cutting-edge cloud infrastructure such as AWS and Kubernetes.

• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions in collaboration with fellow software engineers and product managers.

• Guide junior engineers in code quality and industry best practices.

• Build strong relationships with product management and other essential business areas.

• Utilize AI tools to enhance personal and team productivity across coding, testing, design, and troubleshooting, while exploring opportunities for AI integration within team processes and features, and mentoring others on effective AI implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of software development experience in creating highly scalable and highly available applications.

• More than 2 years of programming experience with full stack technologies such as Java, Kotlin, or TypeScript.

• At least 2 years of experience with cloud technologies including AWS and Azure.

• Proficient in developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.

• A minimum of 6 months of professional experience using AI to enhance personal productivity in the development of complex SaaS feature sets.

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.
