This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Analyze, design, program, debug, test, implement, and support the privacy, security, and governance measures that safeguard generative AI technologies.

• Protect GenAI-enabled applications, which include LLM-powered workflows, RAG pipelines, plugins, skills, and autonomous agents.

• Integrate data protection, security guardrails, and responsible AI governance throughout the development lifecycle.

• Assist with SDLC documentation across all phases, emphasizing data privacy, security guardrails, governance, compliance, and risk management.

• Collaborate with users to define requirements and provide support for applications in production.

• Design and implement data privacy controls, such as PII/PHI detection, redaction, and data minimization.

• Develop security guardrails that include prompt-injection defenses, jailbreak prevention, and output filtering.

• Establish governance protocols for plugins, skills, and agents, covering registration, approval, and lifecycle management.

• Review and assess third-party plugins, skills, and agent tools for security, privacy, and compliance risks.

• Define and enforce access controls, authentication, and least-privilege permissions for AI components.

• Implement guardrails for autonomous agents, incorporating action scoping, tool-use restrictions, and human-in-the-loop approval.

• Apply data classification, retention, and residency policies across GenAI data flows.

• Monitor AI systems for policy violations, data leakage, and unusual plugin, skill, or agent behavior.

• Maintain audit trails and logging for plugin, skill, and agent activities.

• Support compliance with regulations and frameworks, including GDPR, CCPA, and the EU AI Act.

• Provide Level II production support for incidents related to security, privacy, and governance.

• Assist with incident response activities, including containment, escalation, and remediation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT or a related field.

• At least 2 years of software engineering experience.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in AI security, data privacy, or governance.

• Familiarity with AI coding agent-augmented development.

• Proficiency in data privacy techniques, including PII detection, redaction, and anonymization.

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or SQL.

• Background in building and securing applications.

• Understanding of cloud platforms, containers, and CI/CD practices.

• Knowledge of SDLC, APIs, and system architecture.

• Familiarity with databases and data integration.

• Understanding of LLM fundamentals and token behavior.

• Knowledge of security guardrails, including prompt-injection and jailbreak defenses.

• Experience in governing plugins, skills, and agents, including registration and lifecycle management.

• Knowledge of identity and access management, focusing on authentication and least-privilege design.

• Familiarity with AI risk frameworks, including the NIST AI RMF and OWASP LLM Top 10.

• Understanding of privacy and compliance regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and the EU AI Act.

• Experience with observability practices, such as logging, tracing, and audit trails.

• Proficiency with Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Strong communication skills and aptitude for gathering requirements.
