Digital Security Coach

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitate regular customer security coaching sessions, which encompass tactical reviews, advisory meetings, and discussions focused on executive-level security matters.

• Assess threats, incidents, posture trends, identity risks, compliance insights, and Microsoft security telemetry to pinpoint significant areas for enhancement.

• Convert technical findings into straightforward, business-oriented recommendations, actionable roadmaps, and subsequent steps.

• Collaborate with MDR/SecOps, Customer Success Managers, consultants, and analysts to synchronize customer priorities, risks, workflows, and communication strategies.

• Assist customers in deepening their understanding of their security environment as well as the effectiveness of their tools, processes, and controls.

• Evaluate and provide insights on Microsoft security features, including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, email security, insider risk, and cloud app governance.

• Develop and uphold customer-specific security roadmaps linked to licensing, budget, risk priorities, compliance drivers, and measurable outcomes.

• Conduct security architecture and adoption planning to aid customers in maximizing the value of their Microsoft tools and licenses.

• Examine security trends and offer recommendations regarding external and internal threats, including malware, identity risks, data leakage, and attack surface reduction.

• Create advisory materials, tactical presentations, quarterly executive summaries, and customer-facing recommendations utilizing evidence from dashboards, analytics tools, KQL queries, reports, and telemetry trends.

• Steer client discussions towards further security enhancements, roadmap initiatives, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Oversee customer security issues, escalations, and requests, confirming context and transforming learnings into repeatable guidance.

• Contribute to playbooks, best practices, and coaching resources while mentoring supporting consultants or analysts as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, managed security services, or relevant technical advisory roles.

• Proficient client-facing advisory skills with a talent for establishing trust, leading discussions, and influencing both business and technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Microsoft security products and capabilities, including Microsoft Defender XDR, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft Purview.

• Experience in reviewing security telemetry, dashboards, reports, incidents, identity risks, and compliance-related insights.

• Strong grasp of security frameworks and compliance standards such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, PCI, HIPAA, or similar guidelines.

• Ability to simplify complex security data into practical, actionable recommendations for both technical teams and executive audiences.

• Sound business acumen with the capability to align security priorities with customer objectives, operational needs, and risk mitigation.

• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and executive storytelling abilities.

• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, time management, and organizational capabilities.

• Ability to manage multiple customers, priorities, and workflows in a dynamic environment.

• A collaborative approach with the skill to work across various functional teams, including MDR/SecOps, Customer Success, consulting, and customer stakeholders.

• A high degree of professionalism, ownership, and composure while managing deadlines, shifting priorities, and customer-facing scenarios.

• A growth-oriented mindset, curiosity, and a commitment to ongoing learning and adaptation as the security landscape changes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

• Willingness to travel occasionally, up to approximately 10-15%.
