Senior IT Security Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Gathers, evaluates, and consolidates information regarding project stages, tasks, durations, resources, and costs.

• Engages in the creation of plans, work breakdown structures, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations for projects requiring management review and approval.

• Serves as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders, functional areas within the business unit, and project development teams to ensure efficient project coordination among all involved parties.

• Promotes communication among project participants to accelerate project processes and resolve issues and challenges.

• Organizes and leads meetings focused on project status and resolution of issues.

• Identifies specific project deliverables, outlines the process for their review and approval, and sets quality criteria for deliverable assessment.

• Establishes the project scope with management approval, defines the process for scope alterations, and addresses requests for changes to the scope.

• Creates time estimates, formulates project schedules, and tackles scheduling challenges as they arise.

• Develops, updates, publishes, and disseminates detailed project plans.

• Recognizes, mitigates, and suggests alternatives to address risks and issues that may jeopardize the timely completion of the project.

• Tracks and reports project advancements towards objectives in terms of timelines, scope, quality, costs, and risks.

• Receives updates regarding project status, changes, and challenges.

• Identifies potential solution sources and reaches out to relevant parties to initiate actions.

• Maintains an outward-focused approach to delivery, eliminating obstacles that could divert the team’s attention.

• Prepares project status reports for senior management.

• Collaborates with key project members to document and secure approvals for items such as requirements, scope to meet those requirements, milestones, project health changes, issues, and risks.

• Manages project security assessments to ensure thoroughness and approval prior to the project’s Go-Live date.

• Identifies, mitigates, and recommends alternatives for addressing risks and issues that could impact the project’s successful completion within the designated timeframe.

• Develops and maintains project risk management strategies.

• Coordinates the identification, quantification, response development, and control of project risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in project management.

• At least 4 years of experience in Cyber/Information security project management.

• Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) lifecycle processes.

• Familiarity with managing Global Migrations.

• Knowledge of the Google Sec Ops platform.

• Practical experience in reporting and dashboard development.

• Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, including software.

• In-depth knowledge of Cyber Security, Information Technology, Risk, and compliance.

• Good understanding of business unit products and operations.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Strong organizational and project management skills.

• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Proven leadership qualities.

• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Visio, Jira, etc.

• Experience with Agile methodologies.

• Experience in information security, technology, or infrastructure projects.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Certified Scrum Master.
