Software Engineer I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• The applicant will be accountable for the configuration and delivery of applications intended for clients.

• The applicant may support the development of process improvements under the direction of the Senior Software Engineer and the Manager of Technical Operations.

• Duties will also encompass the routine maintenance of operational healthcare application systems, including tasks related to identifying and resolving application issues, performing root cause analysis, managing communications, and fostering client relationships in collaboration with Infrastructure Service Support team members.

• Set up client-facing applications in strict adherence to requirements gathered by engagement teams while complying with Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR) guidelines throughout the process.

• Modify client-facing applications precisely according to the requirements collected by engagement teams, following the Medical, Legal, Regulatory (MLR) guidelines during this process.

• Act as the representative for the Application Operations/Development team on all ongoing projects.

• Engage in the daily stand-up meetings for application operations/development.

• Adhere to established change management procedures across applications when modifications are necessary.

• Document and maintain standard operating procedures for application operations/development.

• Create WIKI articles for common processes that are frequently repeated and can be shared with others.

• Collaborate with the Application Development Team to ensure successful software release deployments in both User Acceptance Testing and Production environments.

• Prepare environments for all new implementations.

• Configure Single Sign-On integrations for client builds.

• Assist in the development of product unit tests that will be utilized for future application regression testing.

• Measure key performance indicators in application development, such as bug density, sprint analysis, test coverage, etc.

• Partner with the Product Team to introduce new application enhancements and features.

• Ensure all application modifications are executed in accordance with lifecycle methodology and risk guidelines.

• Communicate with end users, internal users, development vendors, data analysts, and other engagement team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in technology/Engineering (Computer Science or equivalent).

• 1-3 years of experience in a related field with a background as an application engineer/developer/support (level 1/2).

• Strong understanding of GIT fundamentals and experience with daily usage.

• Hands-on experience with the following tools and technologies: SQL Server, Windows, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.

• Familiarity with an Agile Development Lifecycle.

• Experience in web application configuration and templating.

• Operational knowledge of Team Foundation Server, Azure DevOps, and Octopus.

• Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment methodologies.

• Experience with Veeva or Salesforce is advantageous.

• Working knowledge of US Healthcare/Market Access would be beneficial.

• Familiarity with Azure hosting components.

• May require domestic and/or international travel, including overnight stays, up to 5%.
