Software Engineer – Engineering Productivity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and lead internal Quality Programs: Implement engineering-wide process enhancements and ensure that teams adopt new reliability standards smoothly. You will approach this with a product-owner mindset to define and promote the internal reliability roadmap.

• Establish and enforce hard metrics: Develop and measure quality telemetry (e.g., DORA metrics, bug-to-deploy ratios, SLIs/SLOs) to establish a concrete baseline for platform reliability.

• Architect Shift-Left Pipeline Gates: Integrate automated Performance, Security, and Accessibility checks directly into the CI/CD pipeline at the PR level in close collaboration with Eng Core.

• Create Real-World Load Testing: Implement load and performance testing earlier in the process for every customer onboarding, confirming real-world assumptions.

• Engineer Synthetic Data & Production Canaries: Develop the architecture for safe synthetic data injection to facilitate extensive load testing and live-production canaries, ensuring isolation of test data from genuine user telemetry.

• Utilize Generative AI Tooling: Leverage AI assistants (e.g., Gemini, Claude, Cursor, Codex) to enhance the development of testing frameworks, automate infrastructure code, and design sophisticated testing architectures.

• Lead Tooling Consolidation: Spearhead the technical shift from costly, legacy testing infrastructure to a cohesive, AI-supported automation stack.

• Define and maintain development practices: Foster rapid iteration while ensuring quality, including writing tests and documenting essential implementations.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess 5+ years of software experience with expertise in one or more common programming languages (e.g., Python, Go) and are adept at navigating various technical systems and concerns.

• You maintain a strong product-oriented mindset, prioritize outcomes over output, and seek to understand the "why" behind your work to connect it to business impact.

• You have experience building and refactoring intricate (often distributed) systems and are familiar with declarative infrastructure as code (IaC) deployment patterns.

• You are experienced with public cloud platforms such as GCP and/or AWS.

• You have AI experience relating to testing tools and architecture. You understand how to construct systems with AI agents as collaborators and have solid strategies for thoroughly verifying and validating AI-generated code and infrastructure outputs prior to merging.

• You possess excellent communication and collaboration skills, enabling you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt swiftly to new challenges and technologies.
