Software Engineer – CV Tooling

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Implemented Computer Vision for Tooling & Automation: Develop and integrate lightweight, tailored CV models, active learning workflows, and pre-labeling agents specifically designed to enhance human annotation and ensure data quality control.

• Data Curation & Annotation Systems: Create robust internal quality control, mapping, and annotation platforms (similar to autonomous vehicle curation pipelines) supported by a thorough understanding of CV data quality and edge cases.

• Spatial & Planogram Interfaces: Design high-performance front-end interfaces that correlate raw product images and computer vision metadata directly to physical coordinates on digital retail planograms.

• High-Velocity Iteration: Rapidly construct functional editors, proofs of concept, and pre-labeling pipelines to facilitate active model development.

• Consumer-Facing Simplicity: Convert intricate, multi-layered spatial and machine learning outputs into straightforward, intuitive visual workflows for users without technical backgrounds.

⛳️ Requirements

• Computer Vision Background: Practical experience in building, training, and deploying real-world CV models into production.

• Full-Stack Tooling: Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript for interactive front-end tools, coupled with deep expertise in Python (PyTorch/TensorFlow, OpenCV) for backend model integration.

• Tooling & Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Focus: Proven experience in developing functional editors, canvas-based systems, active learning loops, or annotation tools supported by embedded machine learning/computer vision.

• Bias for Action: High-velocity execution approach. You are action-oriented, enjoy utilizing modern AI tools (Cursor, Copilot, etc.), and prioritize delivering functional tools to researchers promptly.
