Software Engineer, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain enterprise software applications, encompassing API, data, application, and service development.

• Produce clean, efficient, and maintainable code by utilizing a test-driven development approach.

• Create scalable and dependable back-end systems using programming languages such as Go and Python.

• Develop and maintain APIs utilizing REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.

• Integrate various enterprise applications and services using a scalable framework like FastAPI.

• Construct and maintain data schemas using PostgreSQL, NoSQL, etc.

• Familiarity with front-end interfaces employing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular.

• Design data pipelines for machine learning using a data engineering stack; leverage event-driven technologies like Temporal and Kafka. Collaborate with foundational LLMs across OpenAI, Gemini, and Claude.

• Ensure applications are secure and comply with industry best practices.

• Capable of designing and developing enterprise-grade features/modules using SOLID principles and best practices in software engineering.

• Develop high-availability, low-latency enterprise-grade software products utilizing Agentic Architecture, LLMs, and RAG technology.

• Continuously enhance software development processes and methodologies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• A minimum of 7+ years of pertinent work experience.

• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming.

• Proficient in back-end development using languages such as Python and Go.

• Knowledge of database technologies including PostgreSQL, Elastic, and Redis.

• Experience in designing and building API platforms and integration systems.

• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as GCP.

• Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Proven experience integrating multiple enterprise applications, including frameworks and authentication.

• Experience with Agentic, LLMs, and knowledge search is a plus.

• Understanding of security best practices and protocols for enterprise software applications.

• Experience deploying software in multi-tenant SaaS environments.

• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks like React or Angular.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
