Software Engineer, Autonomous Vehicles

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and implement secure, scalable, and reliable real-time software for mass production-grade autonomous vehicle systems, directly contributing to enhanced road safety and economically viable AI applications.

• Perform comprehensive algorithm analysis, optimization, and iteration to improve efficiency and accuracy throughout the autonomous vehicle stack.

• Design a scalable continuous learning system for the deployment of new machine learning models, monitoring their performance, and prioritizing enhancements.

• Work collaboratively with platform, embedded, and AI teams to ensure integrated development, validation, and incorporation of machine learning-based perception, prediction, and planning.

• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in high-performance computing, real-time systems, and AI-driven mobility.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics; a Ph.D. is preferred.

• Proven capability to lead projects, mentor team members, and operate independently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

• Solid foundation in backend programming (C++, Python) with a demonstrated history of designing, developing, and deploying efficient and/or real-time software systems, such as those in aerospace, online advertising, robotics, gaming, and high-frequency trading.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, software architecture, and design patterns.

• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities, coupled with a passion for innovation.

• Experience in the development of autonomous vehicles, with a focus on software/hardware integration. Familiarity with ROS2 or other robotics middleware is preferred.

• Background in deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production settings, including management of data pipelines and model versioning for safety-critical applications.

• Proficiency in simulation tools (e.g., CARLA) and real-world testing protocols for autonomous vehicles.
