This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Reporting to Will, our Chief Technology Officer, you will be situated at the crossroads of engineering and operations, creating the automation layer that links us to external providers.
β’ Your main focus will be on designing and implementing solutions that interface with third-party systems to facilitate scenarios such as document transfer.
β’ Design, construct, and sustain automations that extract data from outdated physician platforms and initiate downstream patient scheduling workflows.
β’ Navigate a varied landscape of legacy systems, developing resilient scraping and data extraction logic that accommodates UI inconsistencies across vendors.
β’ Create a strong error handling and exception management framework, including structured exception queues, retry logic, alerting, and human-in-the-loop escalation workflows.
β’ Develop data validation and reconciliation layers that ensure the accuracy of data transferred between systems, mitigating downstream issues like patient mismatches and documentation errors.
β’ Collaborate with operations, engineering, and external partners to gather requirements, comprehend system stability needs, and plan for solution intricacies.
β’ Document all workflows, decision logic, edge cases, and process maps with the explicit aim of establishing the groundwork for future agentic AI automation.
β’ Practical experience with platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Power Automate.
β’ Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages for scripting, data transformation, and extending workflows beyond what native rolling supports.
β’ An API-first approach combined with pragmatism: you prioritize HL7, FHIR, or direct API integration where available, while also knowing when and how to resort to UI automation.
β’ Hands-on experience navigating healthcare platforms, with an understanding of how appointment scheduling data is structured and displayed across various vendor UIs.
β’ Strong abilities in data extraction from unstructured or inconsistent user interfaces, including crafting resilient selectors that endure updates.
β’ A proven history of designing robust error handling and exception management systems, encompassing retry logic, alerting, and structured escalation workflows instead of automations that fail silently.
β’ Experience in developing data validation and reconciliation processes that confirm accuracy across systems.
β’ Strong documentation practices and a focus on building for handoff, recognizing that your current work lays the foundation for future agentic AI automation.
β’ A testing-oriented mindset applied to automation: you write tests for your automations, systematically validate outputs, and do not consider a workflow complete until failure modes are addressed.
β’ Experience managing automation portfolios across numerous target systems, thinking in templatized architectures rather than creating one-off builds.
β’ Comfort in navigating stakeholder relationships to secure system access and technical collaboration from external partners.
