This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and sustain AWS serverless integrations that link our captive portal WiFi platform with hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and loyalty programs globally.
• Design, test, and uphold AWS Serverless applications (C# / .NET) that connect our platform with external PMS and loyalty APIs.
• Execute SQS-triggered message processing pipelines that manage guest inquiries, room charges, configurations, and loyalty enrollment tasks.
• Integrate with third-party REST and SOAP services, including OAuth2/Cognito authentication flows, token caching, and credential management via AWS SSM Parameter Store.
• Construct and maintain DynamoDB data models for device configurations, session caching, and authentication token storage.
• Develop thorough unit tests utilizing mocking frameworks.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to expedite the development process, enhance code quality, and automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with other development, product management, and UX team members to transform user stories into efficient, scalable solutions within the ecosystem.
• Diagnose production issues across distributed serverless architectures.
• Engage in code reviews and contribute to establishing consistent patterns across the team's suite of integrations.
• Recognize and integrate security requirements throughout the software development lifecycle, including handling PII, data obfuscation, and secure credential storage.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in reading and writing SQL.
• Strong skills in C# and .NET (experience with .NET 8 or more recent versions is preferred).
• Experience in building and deploying AWS Lambda functions or similar serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, SSM Parameter Store, Step Functions, and CloudWatch.
• Proven track record of consuming and integrating with RESTful APIs, including OAuth2 authentication flows.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, dependency injection, and the ability to write testable code.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation or SAM preferred).
• Experience in writing unit tests with mocking frameworks.
• Understanding of AWS networking.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude) as part of the daily development workflow.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering products as a member of an Agile team.
