This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

• Design, develop, and sustain backend services for Messaging.

• Enhance the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of Messaging backend systems.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and infrastructure, to provide solutions focused on customer needs.

• Promote best practices in software engineering, which encompass code reviews, testing, and deployment procedures.

• Ensure operational excellence by monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining continuously available cloud services.

• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to technical roadmaps.

• Over 1 year of experience with Java frameworks such as Dropwizard, Spring, Hibernate, or similar, in either academic or professional settings.

• Strong foundation in Computer Science, covering areas such as data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with processes and engineering best practices across all stages of the software development life cycle.

• Willingness to engage in the on-call rotation.

• Excellent communication skills and a passion for making an impact while thriving in small, collaborative, energetic teams.

• Commitment to ongoing learning.

• Experience with cloud services (AWS preferred, but Google, Azure, etc., are also acceptable).

• Knowledge of microservice architecture.

• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (such as Docker and Kubernetes).
