Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage products and systems from inception to completion, addressing unclear customer challenges through architecture, execution, and deployment.

• Take responsibility for backend logic and user-facing experiences across seller tools, discovery, account activity, and submission processes.

• Create dependable and high-performing systems for real-time bidding, financial transactions, inventory management, and partner integrations.

• Design solutions that accommodate concurrency, ensure data consistency, and address production failure scenarios.

• Collaborate with product, design, and business stakeholders to pinpoint issues, balance trade-offs, and assess outcomes.

• Develop tools, APIs, and automation for collectors, sellers, partners, and internal teams.

• Manage testing, instrumentation, and performance; leverage production feedback to enhance the product.

• Perform code reviews, create technical documentation, and disseminate knowledge.

• Implement AI-driven features like instant valuations, customized discovery, listing enhancement, and automated quality checks.

• Develop agents to monitor systems, address exceptions, and highlight actionable insights.

• Utilize models to create simulators and generate adversarial test scenarios.

• Deploy MCP servers over product data and event history for straightforward investigations.

• Utilize Claude Code or Cursor for development, refactoring, migration, and testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient full-stack engineering skills with strong backend knowledge in Python, Postgres, and AWS or similar infrastructures.

• Frontend experience with React, React Native, and TypeScript.

• Proven track record in building and scaling applications.

• Experience in transforming concepts into functional products or managing technically demanding challenges with significant constraints.

• Demonstrated history of owning features or systems from design phase through to production.

• Strong product intuition and understanding of customer needs and business results.

• Familiarity with AI-driven workflows, with concrete examples of using AI for prototyping, development, and iteration.

• Capability to make practical trade-offs and advance work effectively.

• Excellent documentation, collaboration, and communication abilities.
