Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain web-based applications for Greenhouse.

• Participate in Talent Matching, Talent Rediscovery, and related experiences for employers.

• Develop product functionalities and systems for search and matching across the technology stack.

• Utilize OpenSearch or Elasticsearch for indexing, designing queries, fine-tuning relevance, and optimizing performance.

• Implement AI techniques for enhancing matching, ranking, and search relevance.

• Create new features and resolve existing bugs.

• Maintain product stability and performance for users.

• Collaborate with teams in Product, Design, Data, and Applied ML.

• Coordinate with a distributed team based in the US and Canada, ensuring reasonable availability for stakeholder engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in producing software.

• Proficiency in Ruby, C#, Java, or Python.

• Preference for Ruby on Rails experience.

• Strong foundational knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript, particularly with React.

• Full-stack experience, covering backend systems, APIs, data modeling, and contemporary frontend development.

• Production-level experience with OpenSearch or Elasticsearch, including indexing, query design, relevance tuning, and performance aspects.

• Background in developing or engaging with search, ranking, recommendation, or matching systems.

• Hands-on experience in applying AI/ML techniques within production applications.

• Experience working with Product and Design in complex, user-facing problem domains.

• Capability to write clean, efficient, maintainable, and scalable production code.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Preferred experience in semantic search, embeddings, evaluation, observability, testing, feedback mechanisms, and analytical databases.

• Preferred experience in distributed or remote engineering settings.

• Must reside in Argentina.

• Must be open to working as an independent contractor under Deel's Contractor of Record arrangement.
