This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop products, platforms, and services within the Raspberry Pi Foundation, aiming to create valuable educational experiences.

• Collaboratively produce high-quality software that delivers measurable results.

• Craft elegant and secure code while adhering to a test-driven development methodology.

• Collaborate with Software Engineers and Engineering Managers to enhance processes and improve code quality across our offerings.

• Assist in planning the development of our products through technical analysis and assessment of architectural requirements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience working as a professional Software Engineer with an emphasis on web technologies; or relevant experience in another field with aspirations to transition into Software Engineering through a degree, bootcamp, or similar program.

• A proactive, pragmatic, and supportive demeanor, along with a willingness to both give and receive constructive feedback.

• Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Ruby, JavaScript, or Python, along with experience in a database management system (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

• A product-oriented mindset with the ability to understand the larger vision.

• Strong interpersonal skills (both verbal and written), with a collaborative approach to effectively work as part of a cross-disciplinary team.

• A passion for education, particularly in areas related to computer science, physical computing, and digital creation.

• Familiarity with managing infrastructure on platforms such as Heroku, Cloudflare, and AWS.
