This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
β’ Take responsibility for the health, reliability, and ongoing development of Labrynth's platform encompassing backend, infrastructure, and AI systems.
β’ Make informed architectural and technological choices, assess tradeoffs, select appropriate tools, and advocate for those decisions.
β’ Assist the engineering team by reviewing code, providing mentorship, removing obstacles, and establishing standards.
β’ Address intricate and ambiguous challenges that lack clear solutions, driving them towards resolution.
β’ Develop and deploy production services on cloud platforms (GCP, AWS).
β’ Design and maintain APIs that cater to both internal systems and client-facing products.
β’ Work directly with clients to comprehend their challenges and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
β’ Enhance CI/CD pipelines, observability, and the developer experience throughout the team.
β’ Over 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in Python.
β’ Experience in owning and managing production systems, being the accountable person during incidents.
β’ Demonstrated capability to make sound architectural decisions and communicate them effectively.
β’ Familiarity with cloud platforms.
β’ Knowledge of AI/LLM systems (agent pipelines, RAG, document processing) or a strong eagerness to delve deeply into these areas.
β’ Proficiency with Django or FastAPI, Celery, and Redis.
β’ Comfort in working across the technology stack, including backend, infrastructure, and occasionally frontend when necessary.
β’ Proven history of mentoring or supporting fellow engineers, both formally and informally.
β’ Excellent communication skills for client-facing interactions and cross-functional collaboration.
β’ Engaging work at the crossroads of AI and critical infrastructure regulation.
β’ Ownership of the platform within a company where engineering is central to the product.
