Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Engage in a dynamic development atmosphere supported by a robust Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which encompasses branching, pull requests, continuous integration (CI), and quality assurance (QA).

• Implement SOLID principles, Test-Driven Development (TDD), best practices, and software craftsmanship in your daily tasks.

• Take part in daily stand-ups that connect teams in New York and Los Angeles, as well as engage in pair programming and collaborative efforts.

• Complete a comprehensive onboarding program that covers the company's context, technologies, architecture, and practices.

• Access ongoing online learning opportunities through platforms such as Pluralsight.

• Collaborate with managers who have a background in engineering.

• Contribute to a fully responsive single-page application (SPA) that operates on a RESTful API.

• Be part of a technology stack that is continuously evolving.

• Utilize code analysis tools to consistently and accurately monitor and manage technical debt.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is required.

• A keen intellect and passion for software craftsmanship.

• Outstanding communication abilities in English, both spoken and written.

• A sense of humor paired with a friendly demeanor.

• Professionalism and maturity in the workplace.

• A strong work ethic, persistence, and enthusiasm for tackling technical challenges.

• Preferred experience in C# or Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, relational databases, and ORM frameworks.

• Experience with commonly used back-end frameworks (e.g., Rails, Spring, .NET) and front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is preferred.

• Familiarity with unit testing is preferred.

• Well-acquainted with object-oriented design and development principles is advantageous.

• Experience in modeling and architecting complex business domains is a plus.
