Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Implement software updates and execute technical modifications to our product(s)

• Collaborate as a member of an agile team to execute changes as prioritized by the product owner

• Assist our technical leadership team in planning and outlining technical strategic initiatives

• Adhere to and contribute to our software standards

• Recognize maintenance and technical debt issues and help ensure these are addressed within the backlog or during related work

• Participate in our incident response and on-call teams

⛳️ Requirements

• 3 - 5+ years of experience in a software engineering or similar role, with a focus on building SaaS software

• Preference for working in small iterations, learning from experiments, and valuing DevOps principles

• Familiarity with delivery methods that mitigate risk, such as feature flagging and partial deployments

• Strong proficiency and experience with technologies including Mobile, .NET, JavaScript, and/or API Design

• Some experience with IaaS platforms such as Azure or AWS

• Team-oriented, capable of collaborating effectively with colleagues

• Proven strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences when necessary

• Advocate for collaborative programming methodologies

• Empathetic skills with the ability to provide constructive and comprehensible feedback to peers

• A natural curiosity and adept problem-solving abilities
