Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Work closely with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to create comprehensive solutions utilizing ASP.NET Core, React, and Azure services.

• Convert user requirements into scalable software solutions, adhering to Agile/SCRUM methodologies and the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Develop and sustain rich client-side experiences utilizing React (including React Hooks, Redux or Context API, and TypeScript).

• Create and utilize RESTful and GraphQL APIs with C#, ASP.NET Core Web API, and Entity Framework Core.

• Implement cloud-native solutions on Azure (App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage, Key Vault, and DevOps pipelines).

• Design, optimize, and manage SQL Server databases (SQL Server 2019/2022 and Azure SQL), crafting performance-oriented T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies.

• Write unit and integration tests (xUnit, NUnit, Jest) and automate release processes through Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

• Engage in code reviews, pair programming sessions, and technical design discussions to uphold code quality, security, and maintainability.

• Continuously enhance job knowledge—assess new .NET libraries, advancements in the React ecosystem, Azure features, and best practices through training, conferences, and professional networks.

• Provide accurate task estimates, report progress to your team lead, and contribute to a high-morale, motivated, and collaborative environment.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned to support ongoing projects and team objectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

• 2–4 years of practical experience in building applications within the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET Core/5/6+) and C#.

• Proficiency in React (functional components, hooks) and TypeScript for client-side development.

• Strong understanding of Azure services, including App Service, Functions, Azure SQL Database, and creating DevOps pipelines.

• Solid database skills with SQL Server (2016 or later) or Azure SQL—designing schemas, writing T-SQL, performance tuning, and managing migrations.

• Experience in RESTful API design, ASP.NET Core Web API, and Entity Framework Core (or similar ORM).

• Expertise in source control (Git) and experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3 (or CSS-in-JS), and modern JavaScript/TypeScript tools (Webpack, Babel, npm).

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities, critical thinking skills, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on detail and quality.

• Ability to manage time effectively and deliver work on schedule.
