Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services that facilitate financial transactions and integrations.

• Create features such as transaction processing, reporting systems, and backend workflows.

• Collaborate with APIs and third-party integrations within the payments or financial landscape.

• Ensure the quality, performance, and scalability of code across services.

• Assist in the deployment and monitoring of services within a cloud-based setting.

• Work alongside Product Managers and Designers to convert requirements into functional features.

• Develop and enhance customer-facing functionalities related to transactions, balances, and financial data.

• Continuously optimize system flows to enhance performance, reliability, and user experience.

• Engage in planning, code reviews, and team discussions.

• Offer insights to enhance system design, development workflows, and team productivity.

• Take responsibility for tasks and adjust to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Assist with additional engineering or product initiatives as required.

• Identify opportunities for process, system, and performance improvements.

• Contribute to a collaborative and high-achieving team culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in software engineering, particularly focused on backend development.

• Demonstrated experience as a full-stack developer, with a stronger emphasis on backend systems and architecture.

• Strong foundation in programming, system design, and problem-solving skills.

• Practical experience in building and integrating APIs, backend services, and cloud-based systems.

• Familiarity with contemporary development tools, frameworks, and environments (any major language or stack).

• Experience with mobile development frameworks like React Native is a plus.

• Ability to swiftly learn new technologies and adapt to various tools, frameworks, or environments.

• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, agile, or evolving contexts.

• Exposure to fintech, payments, or financial systems is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
