Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain exchange API integrations along with the data pipelines that support our trading and fund-operations systems.

• Create tools for time-series analytics, market data, and reporting, focusing on accuracy and observability.

• Contribute to the development of simulation and backtesting infrastructure to enhance strategy formulation and risk assessment.

• Design and implement internal interfaces and dashboards utilized by trading, operations, and research teams.

• Incorporate AI/LLM workflows into internal processes to deliver measurable benefits.

• Set and maintain codebase standards; refactor legacy code to enhance maintainability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in full-stack software engineering.

• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, with the capability to manage features from architecture to production.

• Familiarity with financial or trading systems, including market microstructure, exchange integrations, algorithmic strategies, or quantitative analytics.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Expertise in data tooling and handling time-series data at scale.

• Experience in functional programming; proficiency in Clojure/ClojureScript is highly desirable, and Python is expected.

• A practical mindset towards testing and reliability; experience in simulation, state-machine modeling, and backtesting is appreciated.

• Ability to pair and mentor effectively; experience in onboarding junior engineers is a plus.
