Software Engineer – AI-Native

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Product team to comprehend requirements, business rules, exceptions, dependencies, and their impacts.

• Decompose intricate problems into organized systems and solutions.

• Leverage AI agents comprehensively throughout the development process by supplying context, objectives, and constraints, while iterating on the outcomes.

• Engage in the design and evolution of the architecture, encompassing onboarding flows, back-end integrations, asynchronous communications, and various application components.

• Evaluate AI-generated strategies and code critically, identifying potential issues related to security, performance, concurrency, database, and maintainability.

• Operate across diverse application layers, without a strict separation between front-end and back-end.

• Implement, test, review, and oversee features until they reach production.

• Investigate unusual behavior and root causes by utilizing logs, metrics, and traces.

• Make informed decisions in ambiguous scenarios by experimenting with approaches and swiftly refining solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in software development with an understanding of the development lifecycle, including version control, code review, testing, and deployment.

• Solid software engineering principles, including architecture, data modeling, APIs, and the functioning of web applications.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, capable of breaking down complex problems, formulating the right questions, and assessing various solution paths.

• Skilled at systematizing information by converting rules, scenarios, and exceptions into logical frameworks that can be turned into software.

• Knowledgeable in software architecture and cloud systems, including concepts related to distributed, serverless, and/or event-driven architectures.

• Experience with at least one cloud service provider.

• Familiarity with AI tools in software development, with a willingness to work intensively with coding agents throughout the development lifecycle.

• Quick to learn new technologies and business contexts.

• Possess a product mindset, autonomy, and initiative to tackle problems that may not have pre-defined specifications.

• Comfortable in a startup environment characterized by a rapid pace of execution and shifting priorities.

• Preferred: recurring, advanced experience with coding agents.

• Preferred: knowledge of Python, TypeScript, and AWS.

• Preferred: experience in building products from their inception or working in startup settings.

• Preferred: experience with systems that involve multiple integrations and complex business rules.

• Preferred: experience in fintech, lending, or financial services.
