Software Engineer, AI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain open-source AI integrations, frameworks, and sample applications using languages prevalent in the open-source community, such as Python, TypeScript, Go, and Rust.

• Create and manage public sample applications, SDK extensions, notebooks, and reference implementations that showcase AI and cloud storage best practices.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools, including Claude Code, to enhance implementation speed while ensuring correctness, security, and performance.

• Engage in open-source projects through code contributions, issue triage, reviews, and ongoing upkeep.

• Guarantee that all open-source assets achieve high standards for testing, documentation, reproducibility, and usability for developers.

• Keep clean and well-organized GitHub repositories designed for external adoption and community involvement.

• Work in collaboration with Product and QA teams to ensure integrations accurately reflect actual customer AI workflows and Backblaze B2 usage patterns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Software engineer with a track record of contributing to open-source projects in one or more widely utilized open-source languages.

• Proficient in owning and managing public repositories with external contributors and users.

• Solid understanding of AI workflows, encompassing data ingestion, preprocessing, inference, and agent-based systems.

• Experience in writing production-quality code with robust testing and documentation practices.

• Excellent written communication skills, emphasizing developer experience and adoption.
