Software Engineer – AI Agents

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist in the development of Budibase Agents and the associated product experiences.

• Enhance and refine the agent builder.

• Support agents in utilizing tools, integrations, APIs, and Budibase automations.

• Design user experiences for instructions, knowledge sharing, tools, approvals, permissions, and escalation processes.

• Enhance reliability across model providers, tool calls, structured outputs, retries, and error handling.

• Simplify the debugging, observation, and trust of agent behavior.

• Develop integrations with tools such as Slack, Teams, Salesforce, HubSpot, Stripe, Jira, Zendesk, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365.

• Create user experiences that make advanced AI workflows accessible to non-expert users.

• Focus on operational use cases including approvals, onboarding, data updates, triage, routing, enrichment, reporting, and internal requests.

• Strong foundational knowledge in full-stack engineering.

• Regularly utilize AI coding tools and possess a curiosity about their impact on engineering.

• Demonstrate an interest in agents, workflow automation, internal tools, and operational software.

• Be comfortable working with a modern TypeScript/JavaScript stack.

• Place a high value on product quality and user experience.

• Thrive in tackling ambiguous problems and transforming them into deliverable products.

• Have the ability to think across frontend, backend, integrations, data, and product dimensions.

• Communicate effectively and document information clearly.

• Enjoy collaborating with designers, product professionals, and customers.
