Software Development Test Engineer, Python

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Develop, author, and sustain clean, scalable Python code for backend services and microservices.

• Create, integrate, and document secure RESTful or GraphQL APIs.

• Design and uphold automated testing suites for UI/backend that cover unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Incorporate automated test scripts into DevOps pipelines to facilitate continuous deployment.

• Identify, log, and monitor software defects while collaborating with teams for swift resolutions.

• Engage in code reviews to uphold PEP 8 standards, maintainability, and security best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional software development experience utilizing core Python and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

• Practical experience with at least one prominent Python web framework: FastAPI, Django, or Flask.

• Strong expertise in automated testing tools such as pytest, unittest, and Selenium.

• Experience in crafting complex queries for relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

• Proficient in Git version control and CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.

• Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment using tools such as Jira or Confluence.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.

• Understanding of performance and load testing tools like Locust or JMeter is advantageous.

• Experience with Playwright is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools or frameworks is a nice-to-have.
