Senior Software Engineer in Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and enhance testing infrastructure for software systems and components.

• Construct and sustain scalable, maintainable, and data-driven test automation frameworks utilizing Jest and Playwright.

• Formulate and implement thorough testing strategies across functional, regression, and edge-case scenarios.

• Conduct debugging, root cause analysis, and defect investigation across various environments.

• Evaluate product requirements and technical designs to pinpoint risks and ensure testability.

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to outline test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and expected outcomes.

• Set up and manage test environments, including environment configuration and test data management.

• Integrate and enhance automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Refine testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

• Document, monitor, and communicate test results, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

• Provide support and mentorship to junior team members through knowledge sharing and best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and test automation.

• Strong practical experience with Jest and Playwright for front-end and end-to-end testing.

• Proficient in both manual and automated testing within fast-paced development settings.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.

• Strong expertise in JavaScript / TypeScript for test automation.

• Extensive experience with modern front-end testing tools, specifically Playwright and Jest.

• Experience in testing applications across dynamic and multi-environment configurations.

• Comprehensive understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and risk-based testing.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and the execution of automated tests.

• Capability to analyze system dependencies and integration points.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, and QA teams.
