Software Development Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Support the development of contemporary software applications and services using Microsoft Azure that handle criminal leads and employment verifications.

• Engage with partner vendors to facilitate smooth data exchange and collaboration.

• Work closely with the team to design, develop, and upkeep databases, APIs, and user interfaces.

• Assist in creating JavaScript-based single-page applications with frameworks such as Angular and Vue.js.

• Aid in transitioning legacy codebases to modern architectures.

• Collaborate with transactional databases to maintain data integrity and optimize performance.

• Take part in code reviews, debugging processes, and team discussions.

• Adhere to industry best practices for secure, efficient, and maintainable software development.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a related field or have graduated within the past year.

• Fundamental understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (e.g., C#, Java, Python).

• Familiarity with transactional databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL).

• Experience with JavaScript frameworks like Angular or Vue.js is a plus (academic or personal projects are acceptable).

• Strong desire to learn new technologies and assist in legacy code migration.

• A problem-solving attitude with keen attention to detail.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
