This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.
• Develop comprehensive Playwright (TypeScript) test suites for designated user journeys — ensuring they are committed, reviewed, and executing smoothly in CI.
• Increase Python/pytest API test coverage across relevant service domains — including REST, GraphQL, and/or SOAP as needed.
• Incorporate all new tests into current Jenkins pipelines with appropriate tier tagging (smoke / sanity / functional).
• Create and manage WireMock stubs necessary for new testing scenarios.
• Engage in PR reviews — adhering to and upholding established automation standards.
• Record any new patterns or deviations introduced for handoff to the permanent team.
• Utilize AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) as a standard part of the development process to enhance test scaffolding, fixture generation, assertion patterns, and WireMock stub creation.
• Employ AI-assisted code review to detect issues prior to PR submission and utilize AI for coverage gap analysis to prioritize based on risk.
• Independently onboard, review existing code, recognize patterns, and deliver work to the definition of done within the sprint without requiring detailed guidance.
• Integrate into an agile squad, take part in daily ceremonies, and identify blockers early (such as dependencies on development environments, test data, or stub availability).
• Over 5 years of experience in software test automation in an SDET or Automation Engineer role, with hands-on expertise in writing and maintaining E2E suites.
• Strong expertise in Playwright (TypeScript), including POM, fixtures, workers, and parallel execution.
• Solid background in Python / pytest, applying fixture patterns, conftest, parametrize, and reusable client abstractions.
• A proven history in REST API testing (structured assertions, status/schema/payload validation, chained requests) and GraphQL testing (query/mutation execution, schema assertion, variable injection).
• Familiarity with Jenkins for reading and modifying pipeline configurations and understanding stage/step structures.
• Experience with WireMock for creating stubs, request matchers, and response templating.
• Proficient in Git, including branching, PRs, conflict resolution, and maintaining clean commit hygiene.
• Demonstrated experience actively utilizing AI coding tools (such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to expedite test authoring, code review, and coverage analysis.
• Competitive salaries offered across LATAM (USD).
• Fully remote work opportunities from any location within LATAM.
• Chance to be part of a collaborative and rapidly growing global team.
• Daily interactions and close collaborations with international teams, including those in the US.
• A position with significant visibility and responsibility, where your contributions directly influence the business.
