Software Development Engineer, Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

📋 Description

• Assist in the development and management of high-performance security platforms.

• Implement automation solutions to mitigate security threats.

• Create preventive measures, threat detection, and mitigation solutions on a large scale.

• Collaborate with data scientists, security engineers, and various software development engineers across multiple teams to design, develop, test, and deliver innovative security features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional software development experience in building and operating production systems using at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, Go, or Perl.

• More than 3 years of experience in contributing to the architecture, system design, and scaling of both new and existing solutions in distributed, virtualized, or cloud environments.

• Strong grasp of fundamentals in object-oriented design, design patterns, data structures, algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.

• Familiarity with software security concepts, including encryption, signing, and authentication.

• Knowledge of software engineering processes and best practices.

• Proven experience in developing reliable and scalable software solutions.

• Experience in creating distributed services and systems.

• Understanding of security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, or application security.

• Excellent ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Capability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

• Competence in taking a project from scoping requirements to the actual launch.

• Skill in dealing with ambiguous or undefined problems and the ability to think abstractly.

• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the entire software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
