This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.
• Take charge of the end-to-end (E2E) flow automation strategy for our SaaS Platform, focusing on essential customer journeys (authentication, provisioning, identity, role, and permission flows) rather than exhaustive atomic coverage.
• Develop and sustain automation using Python with Playwright for UI flows and PyTest for API and contract coverage, contributing to our internal framework when you identify gaps.
• Integrate tests into CircleCI and our tiered quality gates (PR smoke, nightly, pre-release regression) ensuring that gates are enforceable, swift, and reliable. Treat flaky tests as defects.
• Verify authentication, provisioning, and role/permission flows, along with the OpenAPI contracts that downstream products rely on, including MyCase, DocketWise, CASEPeer, and LawPay.
• Collaborate with the Quality Engineers on your squad and across the organization: they identify risk and coverage signals; you address them with automation.
• Implement AI tools where they can drive tangible results: such as test plan generation, code review, automation scaffolding, and coverage gap analysis through our Qase MCP integration.
• A minimum of 6 years in software development or test automation, showcasing experience in designing E2E automation for critical flows rather than merely pursuing coverage targets. Familiarity with risk-based testing and the test pyramid as practical concepts.
• Proficient to expert level in Python and PyTest, with extensive experience in both front-end (Playwright) and API test automation.
• Practical experience in testing authentication, provisioning, and role/permission systems, including OAuth, SAML, and SSO. Comfortable with API contract testing and development and validation of OpenAPI specifications.
• Advanced SQL skills for complex test data setup and validation. Strong foundational knowledge of Linux and working familiarity with TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and TLS for debugging authentication and API failures using packet captures or developer tools.
• Proficient in cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), with experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (CircleCI preferred).
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development and testing tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar), including the ability to design effective prompts that yield reliable output and discern when to discard AI-generated results.
• Previous experience in establishing a test automation framework from the ground up, along with exposure to Quality KPIs, QaaS initiatives, and PCI compliance within payments or identity systems.
• Familiarity with test case management (Qase or TestRail), defect tracking in Jira, and mentoring SDETs towards automation proficiency.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance workflows, improve decision-making, or foster innovation.
• This position is ideally located in Brno, Czech Republic.
• Opportunities for performance bonuses
• Flexible Time Off (FTO) and 13 paid public holidays aligned with the Czech calendar
• Paid sick leave with additional support through the Czech social security system
• Maternity, paternity, and parental leave in accordance with Czech regulations, along with additional paid paternity leave starting at 8am
• Comprehensive statutory benefits, including public health insurance, social security, pension, and work accident coverage
