Software Development Engineer in Test, SDET

📋 Description

• Develop and manage a comprehensive suite of automated tests using Cypress, beginning with regression coverage.

• Automate as much of the existing manual QA and regression processes as feasible.

• Leverage AI tools to expedite the writing, maintenance, and triage of tests, while identifying new opportunities to enhance testing efficiency.

• Ensure the framework and CI test executions remain quick, reliable, and user-friendly for developers to contribute effectively.

• Collaborate with the team’s developers and product manager to define test coverage based on requirements before any code is developed.

• Execute tests, document defects, and collaborate with developers to address these issues.

• Provide reports on coverage, quality, and stability, while sharing testing methodologies with QA teams from other departments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Intermediate-level experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or in a comparable test automation position.

• Practical experience in constructing and maintaining automated test suites in Cypress (or Playwright/Selenium with the capability to transition to Cypress).

• Proficient programming abilities in JavaScript/TypeScript; knowledge of C# is a plus.

• Hands-on experience utilizing AI tools within a development or testing context.

• Familiarity with unit and integration test frameworks such as Jest, xUnit, or equivalent.

• Competent understanding of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Azure DevOps).

• Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
