Software Development Engineer in Test

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Performing hands-on functional testing to verify that new features align with requirements and achieve the desired outcomes.

• Meticulously documenting results, clearly articulating issues, and assisting in upholding high-quality standards.

• Collaborating closely with developers to pinpoint gaps, edge cases, and opportunities to enhance quality.

• Advocating for robust QA practices and actively contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.

• Designing and establishing automation capabilities from the ground up, which includes: a scalable automation framework, a core regression suite, and supporting disciplines such as performance, integration, and load testing.

• Taking a key role in developing structured acceptance criteria and ensuring that requirements are well-articulated.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of test frameworks, preferably with a Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) approach.

• Solid grasp of PHP development and experience with integrating automation frameworks like Playwright or Behat.

• Capability to analyze requirements and work collaboratively with the team to formulate clear, actionable acceptance criteria.

• Beneficial, though not mandatory: Strong awareness of UX principles and accessibility.

• Experience with integrating third-party platforms such as BrowserStack.

• Familiarity with the Symfony PHP framework.

• Knowledge of GIT version control and best practices associated with it.

• Experience in a dynamic Agile work environment.
