• Take ownership of and enhance the comprehensive automation strategy encompassing UI, API, integration, performance, and security testing.
• Design and deploy scalable automation frameworks utilizing contemporary tools (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright) that are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Spearhead the adoption of AI-driven testing methodologies, including LLM-driven test generation, optimization, and defect identification.
• Establish and standardize quality engineering practices across teams, incorporating BDD and TDD methodologies.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to shape system design and guarantee that applications are developed with testability and scalability in mind.
• Create quality metrics, reporting frameworks, and dashboards that enhance visibility and support data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards when applicable (e.g., GxP, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11).
• Mentor engineers and SDETs, elevating automation architecture and quality engineering standards across teams.
• Propel measurable enhancements in test reliability, execution speed, and defect escape rates.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in software test automation or quality engineering, including responsibility for automation architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with browser automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver or comparable technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in designing automation strategies across UI, API, and backend systems.
• Experience with integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with advanced testing methodologies aimed at enhancing coverage and efficiency.
• Experience with behavior-driven development frameworks and collaboration with teams employing test-driven development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, or TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of test data management, environment orchestration, and maintaining test reliability at scale.
• Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, life sciences, or clinical trials is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the capability to influence technical decisions and mentor teams.
• Ability to work remotely within Canada, with availability that overlaps Eastern Time hours.
