This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Create and document both technical and functional specifications utilizing tools like flowcharts, ER diagrams, and pseudocode.

• Build, test, and integrate high-quality software while adhering to contemporary engineering standards and utilizing automated tools.

• Review and refine existing code to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Evaluate and improve existing applications to align with changing business needs.

• Assist in the migration process from legacy systems to modern platforms.

• Act as a subject matter expert for the internally developed Virtual LIMS (Lab Information Management System).

• Provide support for production environments, including Tier-3 troubleshooting and occasional after-hours assistance, including on-call support.

• Follow enterprise development standards and best practices.

• Acquire and apply knowledge of laboratory operations and clinical workflows to enhance system design and functionality.

• Contribute as an individual contributor and technical SME, offering guidance to junior engineers as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 7 or more years of pertinent experience; or Master’s degree with 5 or more years of relevant experience; or PhD; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

• Proficiency with .NET technologies including .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, WCF, RIA Services, and Entity Framework.

• Strong skills in database design and query writing utilizing SQL Server or similar RDBMS systems.

• Well-informed in API development and microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications.

• Experience in designing and developing distributed applications using Kafka/MQ/RabbitMQ or comparable technologies.

• Capability to support Tier-3 production issues, including occasional off-hours assistance.

• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards such as HL7 and FHIR.

• Practical experience with version control and CI/CD tools like Git, Jenkins, or Bamboo.

• Previous experience working in Agile development environments and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced delivery setting.
