Software Development Engineer – Contractor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Implement database updates, data corrections, scripts, and configuration modifications across QA, UAT, Staging, and Production environments.

• Analyze application behavior, system challenges, and data inconsistencies reported by internal teams.

• Assist with production troubleshooting, log analysis, and deployment processes.

• Conduct root cause analysis and coordinate solutions for recurring problems.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation for scripts, processes, and operational modifications.

• Aid in release activities, monitoring, and post-deployment validation.

• Address urgent operational and business-critical requests as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in software development.

• Significant expertise in PHP, along with a working knowledge of Java.

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with APIs, backend services, and system integrations.

• Proficient in troubleshooting production or environment-related issues.

• Familiarity with Git and version control systems.

• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

• Nice to Have

• Experience with React or modern frontend technologies.

• Exposure to cloud and deployment processes.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, etc.).
