Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Create, improve, and sustain applications hosted in the cloud.

• Upgrade current applications and spearhead new development projects.

• Design and oversee REST APIs and backend services utilizing Spring Boot and Java.

• Build user interfaces with JSP, Knockout, and jQuery.

• Architect, develop, and enhance Oracle DB databases.

• Utilize Eclipse Link JPA for effective data persistence.

• Oversee version control through Subversion (SVN).

• Employ JWT and YAML for secure data management and configuration control.

• Create and sustain Shell and PowerShell scripts for automation and operational tasks.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and technical specifications.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement efforts.

• Facilitate smooth production deployments.

• Simplify complex technical concepts for functional resources in a business-oriented manner.

• Travel occasionally to meet business requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory; only U.S. citizens are permitted to access information related to the program/contract.

• Generally, 8+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with an advanced degree.

• Bachelor’s degree is required.

• 5 years of experience in Spring Boot and Java development, including REST API design and execution.

• 4 years of experience with JavaScript frameworks such as JSP, Knockout, and jQuery.

• 3 years of experience with Oracle DB and Eclipse Link JPA.

• Familiarity with Subversion (SVN) is essential.

• Experience with JWT and YAML for secure data management and configuration.

• Proficient in scripting using Shell and PowerShell.

• Capable of interacting with functional resources and articulating intricate technical concepts in a business-friendly manner.

• Security clearance is not a prerequisite.

• Preferred: experience with MAVEN, SOLR/Lucene, Maria DB, JUnit, Angular, Git, and GitHub Actions.

• Occasional travel may be necessary.
