Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Define and refine the architectural vision for new products, platforms, and technological initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, perform technical evaluations, and spearhead Proof of Concept efforts.

• Design scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectures.

• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Lead the technical design of intricate enterprise systems and high-load applications.

• Specify technology stacks and architectural principles for innovative solutions.

• Contribute to solutions that incorporate AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Identify technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams with complex technical challenges and architectural decisions.

• Conduct architecture reviews and assessments of technical solutions.

• Contribute to technical strategy, product roadmaps, and the long-term evolution of products.

• Support technology transformation and initiatives for product modernization.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on architecture and technology strategies.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Help cultivate engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development and architectural design for products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• Minimum of 4 years in roles such as Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or similar architectural positions.

• Demonstrated experience in designing, evolving, and scaling complex software products, platforms, or enterprise solutions.

• Strong grasp of contemporary architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Proven ability to make strategic technology decisions and maintain a long-term architectural vision.

• Experience in evaluating technologies and architectural methodologies in line with business objectives, scalability, TCO, and sustainability.

• Background in leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• Experience in driving architectural initiatives across various products, platforms, or teams.

• Proficient in collaborating with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in defining and enforcing architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Practical experience in designing cloud-native solutions.

• Expertise in at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Experience in building highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable systems.

• Practical experience with Microservices, Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture, and API-First Design.

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience.

• Experience with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps methodologies.

• Proficiency in modern programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• Experience in delivering new products or platforms from concept through to production.

• Practical expertise across cloud platforms, containers and orchestration, programming languages, frontend technologies, data and messaging, DevOps and automation, and observability and monitoring.

• Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation is a plus.

• Professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering are a plus.
