Software Architect, Backend, Node.js

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, architect, and oversee the development of scalable backend systems utilizing Node.js and TypeScript.

• Define and execute robust event-driven architectures, encompassing asynchronous workflows and messaging patterns.

• Lead the advancement of microservices architectures operating within AWS production settings.

• Establish and enhance system reliability, observability, and monitoring practices.

• Provide guidance to teams on best practices concerning scalability, performance optimization, and system design.

• Collaborate across functions while maintaining a strong focus on backend and platform development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, emphasizing backend development.

• Demonstrated experience in architecting and constructing distributed, real-time systems in a production environment.

• Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.

• Extensive experience with AWS in production scenarios.

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and system decomposition.

• Advanced English language skills for effective technical leadership and communication.

• Nice to Have: Familiarity with streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.) and experience in healthcare or regulated sectors.
