Social Media Marketing Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Strategize and implement social media-driven campaigns from initial concept to performance assessment.

• Assist with partner and product launches by coordinating social content and promotional efforts, including managing drip marketing campaigns for launches.

• Aid in the planning, execution, and evaluation of integrated marketing campaigns spanning digital, social, email, and events.

• Implement ad-hoc partner and product launches as required, adapting swiftly without compromising quality.

• Collaborate with regional marketing and paid social teams to ensure synchronization and support during significant campaigns and launches.

• Investigate, assess, and oversee the brand's engagement and presence on new and emerging social media platforms.

• Conduct social listening to monitor sentiment, identify trends and discussions, and guide content and campaign strategies.

• Manage daily social media operations and content creation across all Walrus channels.

• Expand and enhance the Walrus YouTube channel by creating a content roadmap, overseeing uploads, and optimizing content for maximum audience reach.

• Develop and sustain a systematic content schedule — a repeatable rhythm of content formats and series that ensures channels remain actively engaged.

• Craft and refine engaging social copy tailored to diverse channels and audiences.

• Oversee the organization, scheduling, and execution of Walrus-hosted X Spaces.

• Enhance executive communications across social platforms, collaborating closely with the Comms and Exec Social teams.

• Assist with leadership's social media accounts, including writing, engagement, and content strategy.

• Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with KOLs and creators to broaden campaign reach and enhance credibility.

• Coordinate creator content for campaigns, launches, and events.

• Spearhead social activation surrounding events, promoting awareness and attendance at specific occasions.

• Aid in organizing and executing marketing events, such as conferences, ground activations, and sponsorships, including logistics and design requirements.

• Oversee marketing projects from inception to completion, collaborating with stakeholders across various teams to ensure timely delivery.

• Maintain project and editorial calendars and monitor progress to guarantee timely delivery of all campaign components.

• Support the execution of email marketing campaigns, including drip sequences, list management, content creation, and performance assessment.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Design, DevRel, Education, Growth, Product Marketing, Partner Marketing, and Comms, to align marketing initiatives with business goals.

• Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging.


⛳️ Requirements

• 6 – 9 years of demonstrated experience in social media marketing or a related field.

• Experience working with KOLs and creators, including sourcing, relationship management, and campaign coordination.

• Proficient in social listening and translating insights into content and campaign strategies.

• Experience managing drip/lifecycle marketing campaigns linked to product launches.

• Experience supporting executive or leadership communications on social media.

• Strong organizational and project management capabilities, with the aptitude to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including social media management and listening tools, email marketing software, and content management systems.

• Solid understanding of digital marketing principles, encompassing copywriting, SEO, PPC, and analytics.

• Creative thinker with robust problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
