This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• Accountable for managing the voice, content, and daily functions of Chess.com’s official Italian social media platforms.
• Formulates and implements a content strategy aimed at enhancing engagement and expanding the audience base.
• Oversees the daily management of Chess.com’s official Italian social media outlets across multiple platforms.
• Proactively observes and interacts with discussions, trends, and prominent figures within the global chess community.
• Evaluates and reports on social media performance metrics and audience insights to guide content strategy and maximize engagement, reach, and growth.
• Works in collaboration with marketing, content, and events teams to design and execute social media campaigns.
• Proficiency in Italian.
• Proven success in managing social media channels, ideally within the gaming, entertainment, or technology sectors.
• Familiarity with chess, including its rules, notation, tournament culture, and key figures.
• Proven ability to produce timely and highly engaging content (such as memes and viral videos) that resonates with internet culture and aligns with brand voice.
• Competence in basic photo and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, CapCut).
• Comprehensive understanding of content strategy, platform algorithms, and best practices for leading social media networks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential for a fully remote, distributed team environment.
• A strong sense of ownership, accountability, and dedication to continuous personal development.
• Enhanced cultural awareness and sensitivity, with the capability to tailor content and messaging for Italian-speaking communities while respecting cultural nuances.
