This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee Socket's visibility across all platforms in our portfolio and assist in identifying potential areas for expansion.
• Continuously monitor performance metrics and platform trends, adjusting content and strategies based on data insights.
• Ensure Socket remains relevant and timely in fast-paced developer discussions and trends as they emerge.
• Edit long-form podcasts, webinars, and interviews into impactful 30 to 60 second clips.
• Optimize and edit clips for each platform, incorporating captions, dynamic transitions, and visual elements.
• Convert technical blog entries and product releases into engaging carousels, memes, and brief screen-recording tutorials.
• Maintain a consistent and reliable weekly content calendar.
• Actively engage in comments, respond to industry peers, and contribute to trending tech discussions from Socket's perspective.
• Establish a recognizable presence in developer discussions beyond just a posting schedule.
• Manage inbound inbox triage, and oversee crisis and reputation monitoring.
• Extensive knowledge of technology and developer culture: fluent in their humor, tools, and challenges.
• Exceptional meme creation skills, applied thoughtfully across various platforms and tones.
• Constantly engaged online, with sharp and technically accurate communication.
• AI proficient: routinely employs modern AI tools as an integral part of the workflow.
• Demonstrated proficiency in short-form video and audio editing, supported by a solid portfolio.
• Proven storytelling capabilities across multiple posts or campaigns, rather than isolated posts.
• Familiarity with various platforms: able to convey a unique voice and editing style for each one.
• Strong sense of ownership regarding channels and content, beyond mere execution of a content calendar.
• Capable of rapidly developing a rough idea or concept without requiring exhaustive detail.
• Exemplary discretion in online communication, considering the visibility and stakes of a public brand voice.
• Preferred experience in DevRel, developer marketing, or a technical newsroom/media context.
• Preferred existing credibility or presence within a developer community.
• Experience managing a content calendar independently, from start to finish.
• Comfort with topics related to security, infrastructure, and open source.
