This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Craft engaging social media captions for Future Caucus video content across platforms such as X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
• Review long-form video content to extract short clips suitable for social media dissemination.
• Create social media posts to highlight Future Caucus’ earned media coverage.
• Contribute written content to the organization’s newsletter as required.
• Take part in voice-development sessions with the communications team.
• Ensure all written material adheres to AP style and aligns with Future Caucus' style and branding guidelines.
• Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Digital Content to align on priorities, deadlines, and necessary revisions.
• Be generally accessible during core working hours from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. ET.
• Undertake additional related tasks as needed.
• A minimum of 4 years of professional copywriting experience.
• Experience should ideally encompass social media copywriting for organizations, campaigns, or brands.
• A strong portfolio showcasing versatility across various organizational voices.
• Proven history of producing polished, publication-ready copy that requires minimal editing.
• Excellent understanding of key style guides, particularly AP style.
• A genuine interest in and working knowledge of U.S. politics, either at the federal or state level.
• Self-motivated and highly organized; capable of managing workload, meeting deadlines, and communicating proactively.
• Experience in brand or voice development is a significant advantage.
• A passion for bipartisan collaboration and cross-partisan conversation.
• Submission of a resume and portfolio or writing samples showcasing social media copywriting across at least two distinct organizational voices.
• Successful completion of reference checks.
• Monthly compensation of $4,500–6,000, based on experience.
• A six-month contract with the potential for extension by mutual agreement.
• Opportunity for remote work.
